BCCI Announces Schedule for IPL 2020 The opening match between the defending champions of the Mumbai Indians against the runner-ups of the Chennai Super Kings. The opening match will be played on September 9 in Abu Dhabi.

The second match will be played on September 20 between Delhi Capitals and Kings XI Punjab. The match will be played in Dubai. Sunrisers Hyderabad will face the Royal Challengers Bangalore on September 21.

The first game in Sharjah will be played between the Chennai Super Kings and the Rajasthan Royals. The game will be played on September 22. The locations and schedule for the play-offs and finals will be announced later. Officials said the competition will take place under strict security measures, in accordance with Covid19 standards.
