Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati (IIT) JEE Advanced 2023 Entrance Exam Result

The IIT JEE Advanced is a highly competitive entrance examination conducted in India for admission into the prestigious Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). The exam is held annually, and the result of JEE Advanced plays a crucial role in determining the candidates' admission to undergraduate programs in engineering, architecture, and sciences offered by the IITs.

When the JEE Advanced results are announced, they are usually published on the official website of the organizing institute. The results are declared in the form of individual rank cards, which contain important information such as the candidate's name, roll number, category, and rank secured in the examination.

The JEE Advanced results are typically presented in the form of All India Ranks (AIRs), which indicate a candidate's position among all the test-takers across the country. These ranks are based on the total marks obtained in the examination, with the candidate securing the highest marks being assigned the first rank.

In addition to the All India Ranks, the JEE Advanced results also provide category-wise ranks, which are specific to candidates belonging to different categories such as General, OBC-NCL (Other Backward Classes - Non-Creamy Layer), SC (Scheduled Caste), ST (Scheduled Tribe), and PwD (Persons with Disabilities).

Along with the rank cards, the JEE Advanced results may also provide details regarding the minimum qualifying marks required for inclusion in the common rank list and specific category-wise rank lists. These cutoff marks vary from year to year and depend on factors such as the difficulty level of the examination and the performance of the candidates.

Candidates who qualify in the JEE Advanced examination and secure a rank become eligible for the centralized counseling process conducted by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA). Through this counseling process, candidates can apply for admission to various undergraduate engineering programs offered by the IITs, National Institutes of Technology (NITs), and other participating institutes.

It's important to note that the specific details and format of the JEE Advanced result may vary slightly from year to year, so it is advisable for candidates to refer to the official website or information brochure for the most accurate and up-to-date information regarding the result declaration.

JEE Advanced Eligibility:-

To be eligible for the JEE Advanced examination, candidates must meet certain criteria. While the specific eligibility requirements may be subject to change, here is the general eligibility criteria as of my knowledge cutoff in September 2021:

1. Performance in JEE Main: Candidates must first qualify in the JEE Main examination. They need to secure a certain minimum cutoff score as specified by the conducting authority. The cutoff score varies from year to year and is determined based on factors such as the number of applicants and the difficulty level of the exam.

Age Limit:-

2. Age Limit: General category candidates must be born on or after October 1, 1998. There is a relaxation of five years for candidates belonging to SC, ST, and PwD categories, i.e., they must be born on or after October 1, 1993.

3. Number of Attempts: Candidates can attempt the JEE Advanced exam a maximum of two times in consecutive years. However, the attempt limit was temporarily removed for the 2021 and 2022 exams due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It's advisable to refer to the official notifications or the exam brochure for the most accurate information on the attempt limit.

4. Qualification:  Candidates who are appearing for the class 12th board examination in 2023 are also eligible to apply.

5. Minimum Subject Requirements: Candidates must have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects in their class 12th or equivalent examination. They should have passed these subjects individually.
