VIDEO: INJURY for Antetokounmpo! Here’s what he got…

The Milwaukee Bucks faced the Boston Celtics in an intense late regular season game, but the team was hit with a troubling loss. Star Giannis Antetokounmpo exited during the second half of the game with a worrisome non-contact injury, as ClutchPoints’ Brett Siegel reports.

Antetokounmpo started running on the hardwood after the Bucks had received the ball, but suddenly stopped and clutched his left calf:

He went to the locker room limping of his own free will. Shortly thereafter, the Bucks announced that Antetokounmpo suffered a left soleus strain and was unable to return to the court. It is hoped for a speedy recovery. The Greek has been instrumental in Milwaukee’s push in the Eastern Conference.

Antetokounmpo is averaging 30.7 points, 11.6 rebounds, 6.5 assists, 1.2 steals and 1.1 stoppages per game in 72 contests. Before exiting the Celtics game, he totaled 15 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists.

Fortunately, other Bucks stepped up and helped the team win 104-94. In particular, Patrick Beverley shined after entering the starting lineup in place of Malik Beasley. Beverley ended the night with an impressive double-double of 20 points and 10 assists. In addition, he made an excellent 50 percent on 8 three-point attempts.
