Richie Film Review: Malayalam Star Actor Nivin Pauly one of the most popular stars of the younger generation. With a fan base across industries, the good-looking actor has been winning hearts with his natural performances and of course, his trademark naughty smile, and his first Straight Tamil Film ‘Richie‘ released in Screens on Friday, December 8. It is an official Tamil remake of Kannada hit Ulidavaru Kandante(2014), written and directed by Rakshit Shetty.Richie is Directed by Debutant Gautham Ramachandran and produced by Anand Kumar & Vinod Shornur under the banner, CAST n’ CREW. With its unique narration timeline and visual aesthetics, the story has scope to impress the audience one more time.
The Film also features Ashok Selvan, Lakshmi Priyaa Chandramouli, Prakash Raj, Aadukalam Murugadoss, Ashwin Kumar and G. K. Reddy in an important role.B. Ajaneesh Loknath as a music director, while S Pandikumaris as Cinematographer and editing department is handled Atul. Richie Tamil Movie Review:
Story plot: As it is a remake of Kannada blockbuster Ulidavaru Kandante crime drama, Richie story is set in the backdrop of based in Tuticorin port and is part of the shipping mafia. The local people of Manapad town are getting ready to celebrate their biggest eve of Christmas and it’s their annual tradition to participate in the procession, which is led by the father of the village’s oldest church and they take blessings from him. While they celebrate, one of the villagers accidentally founds an old treasure, which opens a path of destruction and would affect the lives of the people over their in manapad village.
In this film, Nivin Pauly plays the title character Richie who is a local rowdy and Naatti(as Selva) as a boat mechanic. Shraddha Srinath(as Megha) plays the role of a journalist in the film, who is looking forward to telling the story of each of these characters individually. Tollywood actor Prakash Raj acts as a church father, Natarajan Subramaniam as another thug and Lakshmi Priyaa Chandramouli form the rest of the cast.
