Odisha primary Education Programme Authority abbreviated as OPEPA was come to existence as a registered society on 30th January 1996. It is a government organization works at state level to implement various programs in all over the state, some names of the programs are Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA), District Primary Education Programme (DPEP), National Programme for Education of Girls at Elementary Level (NPEGEL) and Kastruba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV).
