Maulana Mazharul Haque Arabic and Persian University known as MMHAP is a state university and one of the oldest institutions for the higher learning education located at Patna, Bihar, India.

It was created under the provisions of the Bihar State Universities Act 1976, with effect from 10 April 1998 (vide MHRD, Govt. of Bihar notification no. 1998 dated 22 November 2006) but the university changed into Maulana Mazharul Haque Arabic and Persian University after the veteran freedom fighter Mulana Mazharul Haque.
