Before joining Summer House Season 6, Mya was in a relationship with the renowned reality star Kwame Onwuachi in 2016 the pair got engaged after six months of dating. Four months later they moved from Washington, D.C to New York City, but they broke up their engagement in December 2020.

When Mya met Oliver Grey in season 6, she wasn’t shy about taking things slow. However, during the season 7 premiere on February 13, Mya revealed that she and Oliver were in a committed relationship.
