Easy way to remove bugs from your bike without using chemicals is with a bit of magic sponge. A touch of plain water and cleans away the most stubborn ones instantly. Can be purchased at Daiso for 100 Yen a pack (probably $3 in Australia Daiso) and only need a small square. I keep same moist in a small ziplock bag with some paper wipes to clean my visor.
