Review: Opium Manchester

Tags: venue opium food

We were recently invited to Opium, a fun and relaxed cocktail bar in the heart of Deansgate that also serves a range of great food from Pizza and Sea Food to Steaks and Gelato.

Located in the historic Great Northern building on Deansgate, close to Grindsmith coffee, the Venue has a prominent spot in the heart of Manchester. The venue itself has a speakeasy feel to it with its exposed walls, luxurious marble, velvet furniture with touches of glossy black and gold with a fair few bottles of fizz on display.

The venue prides itself on its range of fantastic cocktails and its pizzas, that are made with hand stretched dough, freshly prepared on the premises by Pizzaiolo Masters and cooked in traditional wood-fired ovens.

While at Opium we tucked into the Wagyu Steak 28 Day Dry with Peppercorn Sauce which was well made as well as delightfully presented.

The staff really added to the experience and the bartenders were more than happy to create whatever cocktail that tickles our fancy.

Overall we had a memorable dining experiences with the venue and choice of food and we would recommend it as the perfect spot for fine cuisine and a relaxing drink.
