Inquirer, a repeat offender of publishing fake news, got caught yet again for posting another fake news.

Facebook user Lenian Gaspar called out Inquirer.net for posting previous photos dated as far as four years ago and labeled its location as in Marawi City. The bad part didn’t there. In the Photo are burning vehicles, but it happened in Cotabato City.

The Maute group, an Islamic State-inspired terrorist seiged Marawi City on March 23. Massacred several civilians and burned a number of structures. Yes, there were burning and killings that happened, but what Inquirer published photos didn’t fit to the latest incident.

President Duterte during a speech on March 30, accused the news publisher, even cussing at them for the “slanted reports” about his administration and its war on drugs.

Inquirer responded to the president’s accusation, Jose Ma. Nolasco stressed that the paper, ever since its founding in 1985, had always aimed for  “accuracy, fairness and balance in its reporting.”

Gaspar checked each photo and even put links where the same photo was posted in 2013.

The Inquirer.net Facebook page, uploaded a total of 3 photos, but all three were removed after they were caught. You can still see them in Google cache. This is the link of Inquirer.net’s Facebook post, but what you’ll see now is “This page isn’t available”.
