Llibrary founded inside the Sivrice Lighthouse in Çanakkale’s Ayvacık district is continuing to act as a beacon for sailors and researchers alike who are seeking information about lighthouses. The Sivrice Lighthouse Library offers sailors and researchers books, stamps and postcards about lighthouses from around the world.

As a result of a tender conducted in 2008 by the Coast Guard General Directorate, the Sivrice Lighthouse was leased for 10 years. The living quarters for the lighthouse custodian were converted into a library. There are more than 900 books on seamanship and lighthouses in this historic building named the Sivrice Lighthouse.

Location : Located on a prominent cape about 15 km (9 mi) west of Babakale.

Building : Round cylindrical concrete tower with gallery and four large ribs. Entire lighthouse is white. 1-story masonry keeper's house, painted white with a red tile roof.
