Wine Country Events March 2017
March 3-4: Pinot Noir lovers will be heading to Santa Barbara for the World of Pinot Noir celebration. Enjoy two days of wine tasting seminars and gourmet food. Over 200 Pinot Noir producers team up with talented chefs and sommeliers. It’s a wine and food event that will be both fun and educational.
Make reservations to stay at the lovely Bacara Resort where the event is being held. It’s the perfect place to enjoy the beauty of California’s Central Coast.
More than 100 wineries will be participating in the 40th Anniversary Barrel Tasting in northern Sonoma County. This event takes place the weekends of March 3-5 and 10-12. It’s an opportunity to explore the beauty of three wine regions: Alexander, Dry Creek and Russian River Valleys.
Travel from winery to winery throughout the area. Sample wine from the barrel and visit with the winemakers. Purchase tickets for an entire weekend. Sunday only tickets are also available. Special winemaker breaksfasts are being sold. Get your tickets early!
Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival runs from March 10 through April 16. Enjoy special culinary experiences, wine and beer seminars, and demonstrations by celebrity chefs such as Guy Fieri, Robert Irvine, Duff Goldman, Emily Ellyn, and Keegan Gerhard. Some of these are ticketed events, so get your tickets soon.

Experience a Murder Mystery Dinner at Hannah Nicole Winery in Brentwood on March 11. The fictional murder takes place in the 1920s. Dress for the evening with flapper dresses, zoot suits, feather boas and headbands, pinstriped suits and fedoras.
This is sure to be an evening of fun. As the dinner proceeds, there will be lots of suspects for the murder. Your job will be to determine the identity of the murderer.
Find out why Paso Robles is known for its world class Zinfandel. Attend the Vintage Paso Zinfandel Weekend in Paso Robles on March 17-19. More than 140 wineries have special events planned. Visit wineries to sample their wine. Join in the fun at winemaker dinners, special tastings and seminars.
Attend a film screening of the documentary by Colin West titled, “The Wine Life”. This interesting movie focuses on wine making in Australia.
Enjoy three days of activities at the Spring Passport Weekend in the Santa Clara Wine Country. This wine weekend takes place March 17-19 at participating Santa Clara wineries. Sample wine and meet the winemakers at each winery. Food and entertainment will add to the fun.
Flavor! Napa Valley returns March 22-26, 2017. This five day food and wine festival benefits the programs and scholarships at The Culinary Institute of America’s Greystone Campus in St. Helena. Play in a golf tournament at the championship golf courses at Silverado Resort. Enjoy wine tasting. Attend wine classes, cooking demonstrations, and a special brunch or dinner.
Palm Desert Food & Wine
begins on March 24, 2017 with the four-course James Beard Gourmet luncheon expertly prepared by celebrity chefs. March 25 and 26 will highlight two days of wine and craft beer tastings along with gourmet food prepared by renowned chefs. You will have a chance to meet the winemakers and the chefs.
Barrels, Bottles & Brews is happening March 25-26. This event gives you a chance to visit the wineries, craft breweries, and artisan distilleries of Livermore. Taste for yourself the fine wines, craft brew, and artisan spirits being produced in this region.
