In 2023, where Generative AI is all rage, and if you want an escape from the digital cacophony, the art and Aquarium fusion experience at Mitsukoshi, Ginza is the exact break you are looking for. Watching “living”, real aquatic life in carefully crafted tanks, resembling works of art themselves, and blossoming season wise flower-like creations floating around was something I did not expect on a sweltering summer afternoon in Ginza. The brainchild of visionary artist Hidetomo Kimura, Ginza Art Aquarium showcases a dazzling array of art forms. Unfortunately what I can express here is still an audio-visual experience only, while the fragrances in the aquarium, the third sense brings an additional dimension which you have to go to the aquarium physically to experience.
