Travel Beauty Kit for the Weekend Getaway: 10 Must Haves

Hello, long weekend! It's another 3 days (at least) of getting away for some quick weekend trips. Quick getaway means bringing only the essentials. Travel kits planning is a must to avoid anything heavy.

I'm sharing to you now my 10 must haves for my skin care and other kikay products that I can't do away with. Although I'm a guilty gal here of always entertaining 'what if I need this stuff' behaviour while packing, I really tried to minimize. Less is the practical solution to eliminate bulky heavy bags and a numb shoulder. Oopsie! So, here's the list of most common beauty products that will help in preparing those travel kits to a real minimum!

1. Sunnies
Wherever my destination will be, beach or not, this accessory is just so useful and necessary. Aside from covering from the sun's glare and all other eye irritants while traveling, it's the best eye makeup to cover my sleep deprived, panda eyes. ;-)

2. Sunblock Lotion
This one is very essential in a tropical country like ours. When living on a mostly summer weather, the sun rays can truly harm your skin. I use Nivea Whitening Immediate Sun Protection SPF 50 pa+++ for my face (Php 380/50mL) and Nivea Moisturizing Immediate Sun Protection SPF 50 pa+++ for the body (Php 277/75mL).

3. Face Powder
This product helped me control grease on my face. I still can't do without it. And no matter how many brands are promising dewy glowy look, I'm still going back to basic loose powder because I get pimples on my forehead using pressed powder. I'm yet to find out the best mineral loose powder for me. Meanwhile, my favorite is still Johnson's baby powder. Cheapest!

4. Facial Wash
I am currently using Be Organic Argan Oil Face Wash (Php 220) that I picked out of the many to choose from because of its main ingredient - argan oil. Argan oil is a good anti-aging formula, fights those oxidants! I loved that it has travel-size pack and that it's foaming so a good feel after. It really soothes my skin so it's perfect to bring on days of touring.
5. Eye Cream/Beauty Oil
I use eye cream religiously to lessen my eye bags. However, they are usually bulky in size with the common round jar packaging. So I try a different eye care lately that I find very practical to pack. Human Nature's Sunflower Beauty Oil (Php 150.00) has been my alternative eye cream while on short travels.

6. CC Cream
CC Creams have luminizing properties and a good fixer of uneven skin. It corrects overall complexion with minimal coverage. I like bringing Missha's CC Cream Black in my travel pouch coz it's so handy (Php 799.00/20 mL). Perfect travel-size and does the magic!
7. Eyebrow pencil
I'm beginning to learn that eyebrow can make or break your look. I have full brows already but there still seems to have some gaps. What I love to use is the Heroine Make quick eyebrow (Php 345.00 at Watsons). My shade is the blonde undertone - 03.

8. Lippies
When it comes to lippies, Happy Skin is still my favorite. I really love this brand and I'm confident with my Honeymoon Glow shade (Php 549.00). I've shared my honest review of this beauty essential on my Belle Files, click if you want to know more of it. ;-)

9. Hair Brush
Anything small and compact is a travel-friendly product for your mane. I always have this compact brush with a mirror which I bought from the States when we were there about two years ago. I still have it and super functional.

10. Lip Balm
I always put this on my Kikay kit and very useful even without my lipstick. My favorite is from Body Shop in screw cap with fruitty flavors (Php 299.00) and the small retractable lippie packaging from Burt's Bees (Php 325.00).
So, there you are folks. These are the 10 must haves I usually pack for my trips. My happy feet is all time high and alive from touring if I have these arsenals with me. Haha.

How about you? What are on your travel kits? Share it here, I'm happy to hear what others have on their kikay bags.
