TOP FESTIVALS IN INDIAN RIVER COUNTY

Events for the entire family are celebrated in 2019

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, Fla. -- What do Frog Legs, pelicans, and craft brews all have in common? They are all festivals held throughout the year that connect locals and travelers alike to art, food, Mother Nature and yes, even beer. Festivals bring about a sense of community, where thousands of like-minded strangers become friends sharing in the celebration while introducing visitors to the unique personalities of Vero Beach, Fellsmere and Sebastian.

Here a few upcoming festivals to add to your calendar of events:

  • Sebastian Clambake – In 2002, a nonprofit corporation started a November festival that deeply affected the local community and has continued to make waves to this day. Past events raised more than $600,000, which were then distributed to local nonprofit organizations. The organizers believe that exceptional eats, soul-stirring music, historical re-enactments and plenty of family fun make this festival a wonderful way to give back to the community. The clambake takes place from November 2-4, 2018 and around the same time in 2019.
  • If frog legs and gator tails are your thing, then you’re in good company! Every January for the past 25 years, the Fellsmere Frog Leg Festival puts Fellsmere, Florida, on the map. This festival has become a huge draw for visitors who want to experience homespun, Florida-fun, and of course locals who want to join their family and friends enjoying the best the sunshine state offers. Hop to the festival from January 17-20, 2019.
