The newly constructed 37 floor, 612 room DoubleTree hotel is located on 40th Street between 8th Avenue and 9th Avenue, in the South West corner of Times Square. The hotel’s comfortable and competitively priced guest rooms offer amazing views of Times Square, the Hudson River, the Freedom Tower, and the Empire State Building. Each guest room features a 40-inch HDTV, premium cable, coffee maker, a well-equipped workspace, and blackout curtains to ensure a great night’s sleep. Upgrades are available for a higher floor, prime city views, satellite TV, and a walk-in shower.
Magnolia Restaurant, the hotel’s onsite restaurant located on the ground floor, features American bistro fare, and is helmed by award winning executive chef Brian Pancir. Hotel guests and diners alike will enjoy Pancir’s New American, seafood heavy, seasonally-focused menus. Magnolia offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well as a late night menu featuring specialty cocktails and must-try apps such as the “Freshly Shucked Naked Cowboy Oysters.
Lovage, the hotel’s chic rooftop lounge, is heated and glass-enclosed so that guests can enjoy its unobstructed views year-round. Lovage offers a specialty cocktail menu, appetizers and light bites, and top shelf bottle service.
“We are excited to become a part of this iconic and dynamic part of New York City, as well as welcome guests from all over the world,” said Richard Hotter, General Manager of the Doubletree Times Square West. “We look forward to showcasing the hotel and all of its premier highlights to our guests and neighbors.”
Other hotel amenities include a 24-hour business center, a stylish 1,000 square foot conference room which can accommodate up to 15 people, and a well-equipped and complimentary fitness center. The hotel is also pet friendly, offering a specialized package to accommodate pet owners and their furry friends during their stay. The hotel will also offer specially cultivated packages geared towards families with small children, Broadway goers, and romantic getaway travelers.
The hotel’s best “amenity” may perhaps be its location, as it lies just steps from the Broadway Theater District, Rockefeller Center, the Chrysler Building, the Empire State Building, Madison Square Garden and other iconic attractions and restaurants, as well as all public transportation outlets.
