That time I hiked through the Portuguese mountains in search for an abandoned village just to find it taken over by grapevines with huge, delicious bunches. — This is just one of several abandoned villages around @valedemoses yoga retreat. It only has 4 or 5 houses but it made for such an interesting afternoon. #yogaforlife #yogaretreat #abandonedplaces #yummy #grapes #travel #visitportugal #dametraveler #darlingescapes #wearetravelgirls #sheisnotlost #sheexplores #girlslovetravel #ladiesgoneglobal #femmetravel #globetrotters #mustsee #discovertheworld #lovefortravel #thetravelwomen #womenwhoexplore #globelletravels #livingthedream #living_europe #discover #exploreportugal #exploreyourworld #instatravel #traveldiaries #girlsthatwander

Apparently the classic Instagram aesthetic is over, so here I am being so 2018, or probably more like 2016 The article I read was all about the current trend towards unfiltered, candid shots. And I’m a bit fan of that – especially when it’s about honesty and sharing life in all its imperfections. But I’m also partial to a stride-by, pretty plates, posed shots and all the things that might be called ‘classic insta’. Call me old fashioned, but I still like a well thought out photo. For me, it only becomes a problem when everything starts to look the same. So I welcome a new trend, but I’m not quite prepared to eschew the old. What do you think? Fed up of insta classic? Or still room for a bit more?

So many people live within unhappy circumstances and yet will not take the initiative to change their situation because they are conditioned by a life of security, conformity, and conservatism, all of which may appear to give one peace of mind, but in reality nothing is more damaging to the adventurous spirit within a person than a secure future. The very basic core of a person's living spirit is their passion for adventure. The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun. #chrismccandless #pyramids #pyramidsofgiza #egypt #visitegypt #alexandersupertramp

From yesterday hike to the Rochers des Rayes, above Rougemont. I love hiking in lesser known areas of #Switzerland, where the only few encounters are with a handful of locals. The mountains may not be very high here, but the scenery is beautiful. From the ridge where we sat to have our picnic, we could see the Jungfrau, Eiger, and Mönch. Farther away, the Mont Blanc, glowing under the sun. #switzerland_vacations #switzerlandwonderland #landscape_lovers #mountainstories #mountains_lovers #ig_switzerland #ig_swiss #igersswitzerland #vscoswitzerland #paysdenhaut #loves_switzerland
