Flag raising at Mukims in conjunction with His Majesty's birthday anniversary also takes place at Mukim Sengkurong. The ceremony was organised by the Kampong Jerudong Consultative Council and began with a parade by Flag bearers. The national flag was then handed over to Yang Berhormat Awang Haji Jumat bin Akim, a member of the Legislative Council who is also Ketua of Kampong Putat. The flag was raised to the accompaniment of the National Anthem.
