San Pedro Beach or Linda Mar, Pacifica, California

Last weekend was surprisingly sunny for November, and we decided to make the most of it and head for a Beach. We were further tempted to visit the most scenic Taco Bell on the beach - as far as our middle schooler was concerned "Best Combo Ever"!

So we headed for San Pedro Beach Pacifica, and it took us 50 minutes to drive there, but no rush/ jams on the roads and as we got closer to the coast we saw some beautiful hiking trails, beaches and lots of cypress trees. San Pedro Beach is a small beach just ahead of Rockaway Beach,  separated by some bluffs. One part of the beach is called the Pacifica State Beach or Linda Mar, and the other part is called the San Pedro Beach. There is plenty of parking available, with a $7 parking fee for the day. Right next to the parking lot on the Linda Mar side are restrooms, showers etc. so you can clean up before getting back into the car. Its a busy beach - its where a lot of people go to learn to surf, so its full of surfers of various levels of expertise, just rushing into the water and riding out the waves. Its quite a sight!

On the San Pedro side there is a most scenic Taco Bell - and I concur - its an old wooden building, looking sea wind ravaged - and inside its busy, full of people, food and drinks. There is indoor seating and and outside deck which is on the beach - and its a great place to fill up while enjoying the sights and sound of the beach. Further ahead  there is a Pedro Point Headlands Park, from where you can access the Devil's Slide trail and get a view of San Pedro Rock from above.
