Y’all…it’s been 32 months since I arrived in Franklin, Tennessee to start a whole new chapter – well maybe chapters in my life, and may I just say that today, I’m really proud to say I live in the South. There’s something kind of magical about it. It’s a feeling. It’s so different from Los Angeles (can you imagine) and as I sit outside in my backyard and I watch the song birds feed and listen to the owls hooting at night…I feel at peace. 

Not to mention that there are a whole lot of new experiences to be found when you live in The South – like Barn Sales on farms! Never had I even heard of a barn sale until I got here. So what’s a Barn Sale and how is it different from a Pop-up Fair?

I’m not sure there is a huge difference, except that  pop-ups just pop-up anywhere and a farm sale happens on a farm. But if you want to find out for yourself…then you’ve got to make plans to attend The Strawberry Patch on May 5th – 7th!

Country Living Magazine voted The Strawberry Patch one of 7 Barn Sales not to miss in the United States! And it’s right here in Tennessee – notice I didn’t say Franklin. You are going to drive to go on a little drive. 

In 2009 Christy Jo, founder of The Strawberry Patch hosted a “glorified yard sale” in her backyard with a group of other creative women. In just 2 short years, they had outgrown the backyard and moved to her family’s farm in Hartsville, TN.  Starlite Farm is a working farm on 200 acres and sits on the Cumberland River. Isn’t it just beautiful?

Christy is proud of the fact that The Strawberry Patch was the first Barn Sale of its kind in Tennessee! 

I can’t wait to go to this. The drive will be spectacular and heck…I’ve never to a Barn Sale! 

If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed due to so many vendors and things to see at a Pop-up Fair, this is perfect for you. Christy is dedicated to creating a unique, gentle, non-overwhelming shopping experience. You can expect to find about 60 vendors from all over the United States featuring antiques, vintage, artisans, crafters, adult and children’s clothing all in a peaceful, cozy environment.

 I’m giving away 2 early shopping passes for you and a friend to the Preview Party Thursday May 5.  This pass will allow you to shop from 4pm – 8pm before the flood gates open to the general public, but it also gives you access for the entire weekend.
