Fairs, Festivals and More in Franklin, Tennessee!

By now y’all know that spring and fall are BUSY here in Franklin and Middle Tennessee. There is truly something to do ever second of the weekend. There’s music…outdoor dining…hiking, fishing, rafting, dancing, fairs and festivals!

And this weekend is no different.

If you love Country Living Magazine, then you’re really going to love the Country Living Fair beginning today and running through Sunday. This is one of the premier events people flock to all over the country and we have it right here in the Nashville area (Lebanon to be exact).

The best of the best show up to indulge your shopping senses. Really…it’s the best shopping with over 200 booths of antiques, vintage, upcycled and hand-crafted goods. There will be demonstrations a plenty and some of the highlights for the weekend include…

  • Nancy Fuller, TV personality and author of Farmhouse Rules
  • Ben & Erin Napier of HGTV’s Home Town
  • Cari Cucksey of RePurpose and HGTV’s Cash & Cari
  • Joanne Palmisano, contributing designer for DIY Network and author of Salvage Secrets
  • Melissa Caughey of Tilly’s Nest, contributor to HGTV, HGTV Gardens and DIY Network
  • Chef and food blogger Charles Hunter III of The Salted Table
  • Deann Hebert of Fine Art by Deann – Live painting on stage
  • Girl Camper, Janine Pettit
  • Sisters on the Fly

Please visit Country Living Fair for all details.

I met this little guy at the Country Living Fair last year. Wonder how big he is now?

Saturday and Sunday (April 23-24) is the beloved Main Street Festival in Downtown Franklin. Live music is taking place on two stages and Saturday night at 7pm, Franklin’s very own Daphne and the Mystery Machines will headline an evening performance on the Guitar Center Stage.

More than 25 food vendors will be on hand to satisfy your cravings. Think roasted corn, bbq, hot dogs, funnel cakes, Greek and Mexican food, plus a French Food Truck and Grass-fed organic food truck. Your tastebuds will be very happy.

The highlight of the Main Street Festival is the arts and crafts show featuring more than 150 artisans and crafters.

The Festival is expecting a HUGE turnout so be prepared. I strongly recommend bringing some water so you don’t have to wait in line for that. Leave your pets at home – too many people and they don’t have fun no matter what you might think. If you have a compact stroller, bring that. Think simplicity to optimize your enjoyability.

For information on parking and all other details, go here.  Hint: Don’t try and park in Downtown. It will just overwhelm you. Take the shuttle and make your life easier.

There’s always something going on in Middle Tennessee. If you want to get away from crowds then I highly recommend that you point your car in some direction and head out of town. I haven’t been yet, but I hear the waterfalls are flowing and hiking is great right now.

And I do believe, the frost is over and now is a perfect time to get a little bit dirty in the garden.

Ladies…this is the final call for the retreat I’m hosting on Saturday, April 30. I can tell you because I created it that it’s going to be very special. I have a few places left if you want to join me. It will be a day of recharging your battery and total peace. Here’s a link to check it out.

Have a great weekend y’all. I’m headed to the Country Living Fair.
