Rain…rain…and more rain is headed our way. Saturday looks a bit nasty and Sunday not much better, so what can you do especially when you have spring fever and want to get outside? Don’t do that in an T-storm!

I don’t know about you but I can always find plenty to do inside. I’m wanting to Paint the interior of my entry way and living room for well…almost 3 years now so I’m busily figuring out the perfect color. My taste has changed but I’m not replacing all the furniture…just going for some paint. I think I’ve found the perfect color and it’s Sherwin Williams Rice Grain. What do you think? 

It’s warm and neutral and in a large room, I think it will soften the feel and open up the room. I might even lighten it a shade. 

Spring is a great time to refresh your interior and paint is a perfect way to change things without spending a fortune. 

So maybe this Weekend, check out some new paint colors. 

Or how about redoing a piece of furniture? I find this so relaxing and the reward is that you end up with a whole new look that you never dreamed possible. I remember when I redid this piece last year. From this…

What are you serving for Easter? Will it be brunch, lunch or dinner? Planning for holiday meals is one of my favorite past times. I like to keep it simple so I don’t spend all my time in the kitchen. One of my favorite Easter recipes is baked blintzes with fresh blueberry sauce by The Barefoot Contessa. It’s so good and easy. Here’s the recipe. 

Last time I went to Sprouts Farmer’s Market (you’ve been haven’t you) the blueberries were two pints for $4. What a great addition to Franklin! 

And speaking of the Farmer’s Market, I have a huge fondness for our Franklin Farmer’s Market. Rain or shine they are open and bringing you the very best that Middle Tennessee has to offer. And this time of year, the produce is getting more interesting. Remember it’s enclosed and always makes for a great Saturday morning. 

Then after you visit the Farmer’s Market, head over to Savory Spice Shop (one of my favorites) on Main Street and check out all the yummy spice combinations they have for your spring and summer grilling. Tell my pal, Holly hello. I’ve got my eye on a new seasoning, Peruvian Chile Lime Seasoning that I just learned about. I’m warning you though…if you like to cook and you’re a bit adventurous and you love good things, you’ll have a hard time getting out of this shop. 

Don’t forget to turn your clocks ahead for daylight savings! I just love when it stays light later. Want to hear a funny story? My Dad didn’t like losing an hour in the spring (even though he made it up in fall) so he wouldn’t turn his watch one hour. He did it in 10 minute increments throughout the day. Have you ever? That story has always cracked me up.

Easter is just around the corner! What a glorious time of the year.
