Spring is in the Air in Franklin, TN!

Happy Weekend to YOU! It’s Spring-like weather today (high 60’s) and is supposed to stay warm this weekend. How about we get outside and take it all in, because you know it’s not actually going to last. There will be more cold. So for now, I don’t know about you, but I’m going to be in my garden.

Do you love antiques and Vintage as much as I do? If so, today is the last day to attend The Nashville Show – formerly Tailgate-Music Valley Antiques Show with Vintage Marketplace. (that’s a mouthful…good idea on the name change.)

It’s located at The Fairgrounds in Nashville and I promise you won’t come home empty-handed. You’ll find 160 of the top antique and vintage vendors. It’s open today from 10am – 4pm and admission is $12.

It’s always exciting when Studio Tenn is in production and right now, live on stage at their home in The Factory is The Glass Menagerie. I can’t give enough accolades for the level of professional theater that Studio Tenn brings to Franklin. If you haven’t seen one of their productions, do yourself a favor and go. It will most likely knock your socks off. Here’s a link to purchase your tickets.

Do you know about “Beer, Bacon and Bourbon” coming on March 5 to The Factory in Franklin? If not, you should. It’s an evening event featuring top local craft brewed beers, an abundance of bacon-themed appetizers and finest Southern bourbon. I mean…seriously, how great does that sound? For more information go here.

Wouldn’t this be a great weekend to try something new in Nashville? There are so many exciting, creative places to enjoy brunch. I say check out this link and then just GO!

As for me…I’ve got to get going on germinating my seeds for spring planting. Does that sound geeky? I missed it last year and I’m determined to do it this year.

If you’re a gardener or even a wannabe gardener…this is your Bible! I realize this is from last year, but at the time of writing, I couldn’t actually locate the new catalog.

Before I leave you, I want to pay tribute to Harper Lee, author of To Kill a Mockingbird, one of the greatest books ever written. She died at 89. I didn’t know her, but I believe she was a brave woman and I wish I could have sat on her front porch with her drinking some sweet tea. RIP Harper Lee. You made the world a better place.
