Our guide Dave Liebson has been doing very well below the dam on the “Quality Waters” section of the San Juan River. The rest of of us have been very jealous becaouse we are all teaching skiing during spring break, and wishin we were fishin!
Guide Dave Leibson with a March Brown on the Lower San Juan River.
Some of the best patterns have been size 20 UFO’S, some smaller , and on quick, short increases from the dam use a size 18 if you notice the increase, (look for an increase in moss). Lately we have been having some great midge hatches due to the overcast weather, and red has been working very well along with egg patterns.
