There are many key requirements when it comes to traveling to Nepal that UK citizens need to take into consideration. There’s no quick way of planning out your trip, as people from the UK will need a visa to enter the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal.

For most, it is unchartered territory for UK citizens to have to apply for a visa. As the Independent points out, “British enjoy the widest range of visa-free travel on the planet.” And while this may be somewhat of an inconvenience for British citizens, we’re sure they will soon forget about the rigors of applying for a visa the minute the step foot off the plane on Nepal soil. Listed below are the key areas to consider when traveling to Nepal as per the official Gov.uk website.

Entry Requirements:
To apply for a visa to enter Nepal you will need to contact the following: the Nepalese Embassy, 12A, Kensington Palace Gardens, London, W8 4QU (telephone: +20 7229 1594 or 6231 or 5352).

Once your visa has been approved it will be available to pick up when you land in Nepal. However, you must bring two passport-sized photos with you as well as the money to pay for the visa upon arrival.

If at any point you wish to extend past the 60-day quota, you must apply for this, 30 days before the end of the visa expiry date.

Vaccinations:

Additional Medication:

Flying Information:
Heathrow Airport has many weekly flights to Nepal and is probably the best bet to book a reputable airline from. Though there are some questionable ones, too.
