Day 1: Welcome to Hanoi

Xin Chao! Welcome to the elegant city of Hanoi !
IET Vietnam tours’ local guide sends our warmest welcome at the airport and helps you transfer to downtown. While briefing some essential information of our incoming tour, you may have some very first impression of our capital city.
Depending on your arrival time, we manage some hours for your first Vietnam experience with a visit to the famed Ancient Streets where you will find unique street vendors, busy traditional workshops, and holy temples. Continue your discovery with water puppet show, inspired by Red River Delta peasants. A welcome dinner is invited by us to give you some ideas of Vietnamese food and cuisine.

Day 02: Hanoi – Ninh Binh: Kong filming scenes

Enjoy your hot breakfast and we are going to spend a day to visit the place known as “Halong Bay on Land” and also be the first capital of Vietnam, even before 1000-year-old Hanoi city, Ninh Binh province. After a 2.5 hour driving, we arrive Van Long area where was the filming scenes of the movies. With its exotic scenery, Van Long is the raw settings for the hidden village of fictional ethnic people on the screen.
Lunch on your own budget at local restaurant then we keep out tour to Trang An area where we board on a small sampan to explore the primitive nature here. The sampan takes us thrusting under small mountains to discover several caves before back to the banks. If you arrive in right time of the year, you can encounter some wild birds here. Take your time to immerse in natural beautiful creatures.

Day 03: Ninh Binh – Halong bay: Kong filming scenes

Enjoy the breakfast then transfer 4 hours to the next filming places of the movie Kong: Skull island. Upon arrival, we board a junk for a fine seafood lunch and a short cruise to caves. Halong consists of limestone islets and caves creating by million years. Our cruise will take you to one of the most typical cave of the bay. You will climb up and get inside a mountain to admire how clever nature hands are when it built such amazing space with hundred shapes of stalagmite and stalactites.
We back to the cruise for kayaking in next 1.5 hours to discover more about Halong cave. The kayak will help us reach to remote and small cave such as Luon Cave, which is a tunnel thrusting through a mountain and a beautiful secluded lagoon. We will meet the junk in front of the cave. Aboard the junk for dinner and overnight.

Day 04: Halong Bay – Hanoi – night train to Dong Hoi

Breakfast on the junk and enjoy the morning from the sundeck of the junk while she navigates amazing rock formations of Bai Tu Long Bay to get back to Halong City. Lunch on the junk before reaching Halong dock for a drive back to Hanoi. On the way back to Hanoi we will have a stop in Dong Trieu Town for refreshment and visit a ceramic factory.
Arrive in Hanoi we then have time to walking and enjoy street food tour around the Old Quarter. We will catch the night train to Dong Hoi – the capital of Quang Binh province where you may ever hear once, Phong Nha National park with world astonishing caving system is located. Prepare for the wonderful amazement next day. Overnight on train

Day 05: Kong: Filming scenes Da Deo Pass, Rat & Tu Lan caves

Arrive early at Railway station then we are going to take a joined tour to the most stunning places in Quang Binh that played important roles in making the awesome background of Kong Movie. You will visit the exact filming scenes of the movie including Da Deo Pass – the huge, explosive battlefield and Rat cave – the hideout of King Kong.
You’ll then drive 70 km over the Da Deo Mountain Pass to reach the ethnic minority village of Tan Hoa and the Oxalis Headquarters. You can leave all your luggage at our office in the storage room. After a safety briefing, checking gear and signing our Release Form, the day adventure begins with a 2 km walk across peanut and buffalo fields to reach the Rao Nan River.
After crossing the river you’ll reach the impressive Hang Chuot (Rat Cave) to explore its massive formations for up to 280m. Return back to the river another way, then trek through Hung Ton Valley to reach Hung Ton Cave. Explore this wild cave by descending a 15 m ladder with a safety rope before swimming 50m through the cave and following an underground river to reach To Mo Valley, where a delicious BBQ lunch will be awaiting you.
After swimming at the waterfall, trek over Hung Ton Mountain (1 km), across Hung Ton Valley (500 m), and another small hill down to Rao Nan River (500 m). You’ll finish the day crossing back over peanut and buffalo fields (2.5 km) to the Oxalis Headquarters, where a cold drink and shower will be awaiting your return.
Depart Tan Hoa at 17:00 and return to Phong Nha at 18:30 and you will be dropped at your accommodation.

Important notice: This day involves in 50m swimming in a cave. The passengers’ swimming ability is a must. You should be relatively fit to totally enjoy this adventurous day.

Day 06: Dong Hoi – fly to Sai gon scooter tour

Breakfast at your accommodation then free time after some few days with many active and interesting activities until getting a noon flight to the biggest city of Vietnam – Sai gon (Ho Chi Minh city).
Arrive in Sai gon after a 2-hours flight, our car and driver will escort you to Sai gon center in early-afternoon, the remaining of this day will be awesome with a short tour to the most highlights including Independent Palace, War Remnant Museum and a scooter tour for Sai Gon by night.
06.00PM Sai gon by night, a joined group tour, starts and it’s very special when you are a pillion on a scooter driven by good-at-English, knowledgeable and lovely young ladies to discover Sai gon by night. This is definitely the most highlight of this day. The tour ends around 09.00PM.

Interesting notes to know in advance – All scooter drivers are female and they will wear “Ao Dai” – Vietnamese traditional dresses. They are good at English and will be your tour guide too for this 3 hours.

Day 07: Cu chi tour by JEEP

Cu chi tunnel is a well-known place to show an important part of Vietnam wars. Today, we are going to visit the place – once called “Iron land” thanks to its incredible survival in the middle of gunshots with special vehicles – JEEPs.
08.30AM, we drive out of the city to Cu Chi for about 1.5 hours. We are going to spend some hours here in order to explore its underground levels. You will understand and admire how a whole village could carry on their livings right in the center of the most brutal battlefields.
12.30 – 01.00PM Our guide will help you find a good lunch at a local restaurant before transferring back to the city. Arrive in Sai gon at mid-afternoon. Free time the rest of the day.

Day 08: Sai gon Departure

Breakfast at your hotel and free till we transfer to airport for your flight to next destination or flight back to your home country.
