– very sad news – Egyptair Flight MS804 wreckage has been found near the Karpathos island in Greece
– Air Asia X has scheduled service from on October 2016 to, 3 times a week, to Mauritius from Kuala Lumpur
This could be a great shortcut since flying over the Indian Ocean would connect you between the Africa and Asia award zone which is often expensive. There is precious little flying from Mauritius to the East. Male, Maldives has been adding services to Asia at an enormous clip during the last 5 years in contrast.
– BA is planning to resume Santiago de Chile Service on a 787 in January 2017
This is a prime route for a 787 with medium demand between two far-away destinations (~7,500 miles) – BA codeshares with LAN so it will be easy to find passengers connecting to LAN to Southern America
