New Zealanders do NOT have to pay for library services in Queensland!

Libraries are free for New Zealanders living in Queensland on a SCV(Special Category Visa), and they are a marvellous service.

The libraries here are great. Everything is a free service, and that includes DVDs that we pay to hire in New Zealand libraries, putting books on hold and reading items from the reference section.

When you join the Library you need ID and proof of your address, ie, a bill with you name and address on it and then you’re all sorted. Have fun!
