Abaco Urgently Needs Blankets and Warm Clothes

Despite having spent 25+ years in Canada, the coldest I think I’ve ever been was one New Year’s weekend on Green Turtle Cay.

Even Wrigley’s fur coat isn’t enough to keep him warm on cool winter nights in Abaco

There’s something about the combination of cooler temperatures, stiff ocean breezes and humidity that chills you straight through.

Temperatures in the tropics have dropped in recent weeks. And with so many of their homes damaged by Hurricane Dorian, our friends in Abaco are freezing cold.

Multiple calls have been sent out for blankets and warm clothing – things like jackets, sweaters, hoodies, socks, sweatpants, boots, etc. for children, women and men.

If you’d like to donate any of these items, Abaco Freight in West Palm Beach, FLA is collecting and transporting donations to Abaco for distribution by New Vision Ministries in Marsh Harbour.

Please send donations to:

#Bahamastrong
10130 North Lake Blvd.
Suite 214–192
West Palm Beach, Florida

Thank you for your help. And thanks to Abaco Freight and New Vision Ministries for all they’re doing for Abaco!
