While everyone is still “talkin’ baseball“, with the New York Mets in the  World Series,  we also have had requests for reservations at the HOLIDAY INN LAGUARDIA AIRPORT HOTEL for the upcoming Holiday Season !

After this weekend’s New York City Marathon, “Winter in Bryant Park” begins November 1 and runs through January 3rd – visit their Winter Village with 125 holiday kiosk shops, surrounded by beautiful holiday lights, a tree, and the ice skating rink – in the shadows of the 42nd Street Public Library between 5th & 6th Avenues.  From the HOLIDAY INN LAGUARDIA AIRPORT HOTEL, simply walk to the 111th Street subway stop on the #7 line, and head right to 42nd Street!

When we were talking with Meagan in our Reservations Department about the holidays – we were sharing inside secrets about the THANKSGIVING DAY PARADE and the BALLOON INFLATION the night before that has become such a popular New York tradition ! On November 25th, from 3PM -10 PM, you can watch the giant balloons get filled slowly with helium near 79th Street and Columbus Avenue – right across from Central Park, and on the blocks surrounding the Museum of Natural History !  On Thanksgiving Day, the Parade goes down Central Park West and 6th Avenue with giant balloons, performers, clowns, marching bands and floats that end up at Macy’s in Herald Square.

Just a few days later, the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree Lighting will be held  on December 2nd – and the holiday season will be in full swing !
