Top Five Places to Celebrate New Year’s Eve in Kensington and Chelsea

Here at the Amsterdam Hotel near Kensington and Chelsea, we’re as excited as anybody about the upcoming festivities on New Year’s Eve 2015/206, especially because we happen to know where all the best parties and celebrations are going to be.

Indeed, we’ve been welcoming our guests to West London for many a New Year gone by now, and in that time we’ve had a chance to see for ourselves just which locations consistently prove to be the most popular for those looking to see out the year gone by in style.

If you’re planning to stay with us on New Year’s Eve and are still searching for the perfect place to welcome in 2016, here’s the Amsterdam Hotel’s guide to the top five places to celebrate New Year’s Eve in Kensington and Chelsea.

Royal Garden Hotel,

2- 24 Kensington High Street London W8 4PT,

From 7pm until late

The perfect way to start your evening, our friends at the Royal Garden host their annual New Year’s Eve gala, where you’ll be treated to a glass of champagne on arrival a traditional British three-course meal, live music, and a vibrant atmosphere to really see in the New Year with a smile.

Kensington Roof Gardens

99 Kensington High Street, London, W8 5SA

From 8pm to 4am

If you’re looking to greet the arrival of 2016 with a little style, sophistication and elegance, you can do far worse than booking a ticket for this exclusive celebration amidst the beautiful surroundings of the Kensington Roof Gardens.

Joining fellow guests at over 100ft into the London skyline, you’ll be swinging and dancing the night away in this glamourous, 1920s-style party, complete with a live jazz band and DJs playing contemporary party anthems with a ’20s twist.

Along with the music, there’ll be a delicious winter barbeque, breakfast canapes in the early hours of the morning and a spectacular firework display on the stroke of midnight.

Dress to impress in either black tie or fancy dress from the roaring ’20s.

Maggie’s Club

329 Fulham Road, London, SW10 9QL

From 9.30pm – 5am

Not far from our hotel near Chelsea’s Fulham Road you’ll find a James Bond themed night of music and entertainment at the popular Maggie’s Club.

With prizes for the best 007-inspired fancy dress costumes, a champagne reception at midnight, and plenty of Martinis to go around (shaken, not stirred, naturally), this is a must not only for Bond fans, but for anybody looking for a New Year’s Eve party with a difference.

Beaver Lodge

266, Fulham Road, Chelsea SW10 9EL

From 10pm to 5am

Practically neighbours with Maggie’s Club is the cowboy inspired Beaver Lodge, which always offers a wonderful time on any given night of the year.

Come December 31st, the folks behind the lodge (including their mascot, Buddy the Beaver) will be upping the proverbial ante with a rootin’ tootin’ New Year’s Eve hoedown, complete with line-dancing galore and a champagne reception.

Kensington Close

Wrights Lane, Kensington, W8

From 7.30pm to 2am (last entry, 11am)

Flying solo this year? the New Year’s Eve singles special at Kensington Close may be just the thing for you.

Ever year, groups of single friends choose the Hotel Amsterdam near Kensington as their home-away-from-home whilst seeing in the New Year together. When they do, we’re happy to recommend this wonderful night of food, music and even a spot of speed dating.

Who knows, you may even start off 2016 having found your perfect match!
