For over 100 years, the Royal Hospital in Chelsea has played host to an annual celebration of horticulture that is known today as not only a highlight of the London spring calendar, but a true world-renowned event in its own right.

This year’s event takes place from Tuesday May 24th to Saturday May 28th just a few short minutes’ down the road from the Amsterdam Hotel in Earls Court. So it’s no wonder that many guests have already booked their accommodation with us ready for the week-long festival of flora and fauna.

What’s on at the 2016 Show?

Speaking of highlights, this year’s Chelsea Flower Show comes with an abundance of them.

One of the biggest must-see attractions of this year’s event includes a giant 80-foot carriage from a 1920s Belmond British Pullman train, which serves as the focal point of an impressive, fully planted up station with displays from plant collectors from several countries.

Elsewhere, the floral arch and photo exhibits to celebrate the 90th birthday of Her Majesty the Queen,  and Ann-Marie Powell’s Health, Happiness and Horticulture show garden are both well worth a look.

When you’ve seen all the displays however, there’s still plenty to enjoy. Over in the Acoustic Garden, you can enjoy a moment of serenity set to the tunes of world renowned percussionist Dame Evelyn Glennie, whilst the whiz-bang spectacle of Diarmuld Gavin’s British Eccentrics Garden promises to be one of the most entertaining performances of the week.
