So, another year is finally behind us. The last guests of 2016 will be checking in with us any day now, and here at the Amsterdam Hotel in Earls Court, we’re feeling in a rather reflective mood.

For us, 2016 has been another one of the many successful years we’ve spent at the helm of one of South West London’s most popular luxury hotels. It has been another year of welcoming both new and returning guests, and another year spent enjoying many of the music, culture, and sporting events taking place nearby.

We’ve seen our local football club, Chelsea F.C take on the mighty giants of the Premier League and the UEFA champions league, we’ve enjoyed rousing performances at the nearby Royal Albert Hall, and, of course, we’ve had more than a few opportunities to head over to nearby Kensington and indulge in a spot of luxury shopping.

Here, with 2017 literally only days away, our team look back on just what a memorable year 2016 really was, and share some of our own favourite highlights.

More Guests Returned to Our Earls Court Hotel Than in Any Other Year

Of course, we couldn’t very well talk about what a successful year it’s been here at the Amsterdam Hotel without talking about our biggest success of all.

Over the course of the past twelve months, more guests have made repeat bookings to come and stay with us than at any other time since we first opened.

Whether they’re regular business travellers who prefer our Earls Court Hotel for its close proximity to the renowned conference and exhibition centre, the London Olympia, or whether it’s those on a sightseeing trip who choose us because of our low cost, premium quality accommodation and easy access to many major London landmarks via Earls Court Station, our increasingly loyal guests chose our hotel every time they visit the capital.

First Time Visitors Had Plenty to Enjoy in South West London

To those regular guests, we certainly say an enormous thank you, though we couldn’t very well talk about our guests without mentioning those of you who chose to stay at the Amsterdam Hotel for the very first time in 2016.

For many of those first-time visitors, their stay at our luxury accommodation in South West London coincided with one of the area’s many major events.

From the loud, vibrant party atmosphere of the legendary Notting Hill Carnival to something a little more sophisticated -such as a performance by the world renowned Royal Philharmonic Orchestra at the Royal Albert Hall, there was certainly much to enjoy.
