Cycling routes: a two-wheel trip around Ukraine

Cycling around Ukraine is an opportunity to escape from everyday routine, exercise in the fresh air, and most importantly – mobility. We have selected the most interesting bike routes for you!

“Transcarpathian Adagio” bicycle route

Transcarpathian Adagio – one of the most wonderful Carpathian routes for people who love a relaxing rest, leisurely ride or those, who go to Karpaty with bicycles for the first time. The route passes through the valleys so you are allowed to breathe the mountain air, see the beauty of the Carpathians and save force since there are no long ascents on the route.

Distance: 150 km (2 days on the road)

“Polonyna Runa” bicycle route

Traveling through one of the best places for cycling in the Carpathians. Polonyna Runa – a high-mountainous Carpathian plateau surrounded by the Latorytsia and Uzh rivers. The landscapes of these places are typical examples of alpine meadows. Plant world of the valley is striking. Also the visit to Uzhhorod with its synagogues and cathedrals are included.

Distance: 150 km (2 days on the road)


“Kyn-Hrust and in Pushcha” bicycle route

The route will be effective even for beginners. It starts at Obolonska embankment. Then, past the Stalinist tunnels under the Dnieper, we go to a wide lawn, surrounded by oaks, which, according to the orders of Catherine II, received the strange name “Kyn-Hrust”.
We have a rest in the beautiful park, leave any sadness and go to Pushcha-Vodytsia – the well-known resort suburb of Kyiv. Here, among the pine forests and lakes, the end of the cycling route is crowned with a picnic.

Distance: 50 km (1 day)


“Along the rivers and lakes of Kyiv” bicycle route

The route begins at the final stop of the 5th trolley bus. From there on Pivnichno-Syretsky street to Berkovtsi, then through the private sector to Paladina avenue. You need to drive along the avenue and you will get to Novobilychi railway station. After moving Belichi, you need to go left and go past the Nyvka river. There will be a gateway within 6.2 km. Then you have to go along the Irpin river and go to the forest. After passing the railway you have to go to Hostomelske highway in the direction of the M07 road. Drive 2,7 km along it and there will be a lake near Horenka, which is currently one of the cleanest. The next lake is in the forest, 5 kilometers away.
