Flea markets of Kyiv: in search of interesting things

This is not just banal shopping, but an attempt to stop the moment, and consider the true beauty of old things, to move through time in other eras.

Antique “meetings” in the International Exhibition Center on Livoberezhna

This place has been known since the mid-2000s. Collectors, antique painters and collectors of valuable and antique items gather here. Meetings are held in two formats: clubs and meetings, the last several times larger and usually held on the last Saturday of the month.

Flea market in Kurenivka

Flea Market near the bird market on Kurenivka has been known since the 80’s. There were mainly sellers of antiques at the beginning of the park at the weekend. Subsequently, so-called “rags” – traders of antiquity, began to join to sellers of antiques.

Where: Petropavlivska Square.
Working hours: Tues-Sun, 8 am- 2 pm

Garage sale

This is a very popular flea market in the world. In 2018 it also reached Kyiv. Several such sales were organized in different locations, mainly on Podil in the summer and autumn. The most popular Garage sale is in the Khvylovyi bar and garage cooperative on Petrovska Street.
People mostly buy clothes, accessories, vinyl, books, decoration items, various handmade trinkets on Garage sale.

Flea market in Petrivka

Flea market in Petrivka is the most famous and largest flea market in Ukraine. It appeared in 2011 and took only one alley, now flea market four times more. Every weekend along Verbova Street sellers lay out their wealth on the asphalt. There is an opinion that everything can be found here: from a real jerk that can be thrown at the end of the day to truly valuable antique things.

Charity flea markets
 on Kurazh Bazar

Kurazh Bazar is the only flea market in Ukraine, designated on the world map of flea markets. The flea market brings together about 350 merchants and up to 20 thousand visitors. Often, celebrities come here to sell something of their own things and to raise funds to charity.

Kurazh Bazar is not only a flea market but also has a very rich “curiosity” program: performances by musicians, various entertainment for children and adults, and food courts.

Where: 1, Hlushkova Street, Expocenter of Ukraine
Hours: Sat-Sun, once a month.
