Ancient and multifaceted Lviv causes the traveler to love at first sight. Different epochs merged into one unique mix. These museums, cafes and the spirit of the old diverse Lviv are important to feel personally, not with someone else’s stories.
Rynok Square and Lviv City Hall
If you are the first time in Lviv we recommend to visit Rynok Square. This area is located in the heart of the old part of the city. During the Middle Ages, only representatives of the nobility had the right to build houses on Rynok Square. The first mention of the central city square dates back to the distant 13th century. Chapel of Boim
The Chapel of Boim was built on the site of the old cemetery in the 17th century. The chapel became the tomb of the ancient Hungarian kind of Boim. Who constructed this true work of art is not surely known.
Finding the chapel is very easy even from afar. In addition to a practically black façade, it is distinguished by the sculpture of Jesus Christ on the dome. Interestingly, Jesus here is depicted sitting and head up with his hand. This is a rather unusual execution of the sculpture of God’s Son.
Pharmacy Museum “Under the Black Eagle”
Pharmacy-museum is one of the most unique Lviv museums. This institution maintains its reputation for centuries. The pharmacy manages to combine the medical component with the tourist for many years. Despite the fact that this is a museum and it is visited by hundreds of tourists every day, here does not stop the implementation of medical products. If tourists with enthusiasm consider all kinds of cones, tablets, then the local townspeople come here as an ordinary drugstore for drugs. The pharmacy began its work in the far 1735 year.
