Top 7 most interesting places in Dnipro

Remembering Dnipro, the first thing that comes to mind is an industrial city. This is true, but there is also the other side of the city on the Dnieper. Embankment

The Embankment in Dnipro is one of the most beautiful places in the city, besides the Embankment is considered to be the longest in Europe – about 30 km. Kodatska Fortress

Kodatska Fortress is an ancient Polish citadel, the remains of which are located in a picturesque place on the high bank of the Dnieper River in Stari Kodaky village not far from the city.
Nowadays a quarry was created in place of the fortress, in which granite is mined. It took only a few years and 90% of the fortress was destroyed. Now – it is an extremely picturesque place with ruins and a lake with stunningly strong energy.

Children’s Railway

Children’s Railway is located in the cozy Lazar Globa Park. This railway is the first in Ukraine and the second in the world. It has only the one station.
There are training classes, duty station, waiting room and ticket office at the station. You can ride on the train, which consists of TU2-134 or TU2-172 diesel locomotive and three passenger cars “PAFAWAG”.
The length of the road is 2 km.

Monastyrskyi Island

The most romantic and mysterious monument of Dnipro – Monastyrskyi Island. This is one of the most popular places among townspeople. You can get to the island through the pedestrian bridge, especially popular among newlyweds – the tradition of hanging locks of happiness on the railings of the bridge does not cease to be relevant. Another option to get to the island – a high-speed troll. So you get to the new Observation Deck, which offers a magnificent panorama of the city and the noise of an artificial waterfall in height of 17 meters at the foot.

House-museum of Yavornytskyi

The house-museum of Yavornytskyi is located among the velvet greens on 5, Yavornytskoho street. It is one of the oldest houses in Ukraine.

The museum was founded in 1849. There are about 250,000 items of antiquity, among them relics of the Cossacks, printed editions of the 16th-17th centuries, religious collection, weapons, furniture, monuments of oriental cultures, among which – the mummy of an Egyptian woman with a child funds in the museum.

“Menorah” center

“Menorah” center is the largest Jewish complex in the world, its main goal is the revival of the Jewish community in Dnipro and in general in Ukraine, as well as support for the idea of tolerance to different nationalities.
The complex is located in the very center of Dnipro in an area of 50,000 square meters.
The center consists of seven towers, which symbolize the temple seven-candlestick. The “Menorah” walls are lined with a specially brought to this complex with a Jerusalem stone that has no analogues in the world. Here you can order an excursion (50 UAH) or simply climb the observation platform, which will cost almost twice cheaper as a full-scale excursion.

Observation platform of the Shevchenka park

The observation platform in the Shevchenka park in Dnipro the long time is a favorite romantic place for many lovers. Amazing local landscapes are often used in wedding photo sessions. Various cultural and entertainment events are often here. There is an amazing panoramic view of the entire Dnieper River from the observation deck: the long embankment, the Dnieper River and the entire left bank. This observation deck has a cascade fountain, shops and several cafes.
