From a very young age, my mother used to boil porridge for us siblings, either they were just plain porridge or with pork/chicken/fish.  So I guess I am brought up eating porridge and loving it until today.

The best Shop selling cheap and tasty porridge is in town, my kind of best because I love their generous servings of fried fish.  One set comes with 4 or five pieces either steamed or fried and I always opt for the latter.  They are so crispy and nice, only thing is that I must be very careful with the bones.  So...  having said that, I normally will take a longer time to finish one bowl of porridge, just to be careful and on the safe side.

Kar Heng is the name of the shop, it opens around 11.30am until late evening.  As for me, I will always go early, before noon, there will be less people and waiting time is also shortened.  By noon, most of the workers will swarm the shop.
