The Tour Guide To Food

Tags: food shop ipoh

I WILLL FOLLOW YOU...  You, as in my neighbour.... He is really a Food taster, wherever there is good food, he will be there...

Oh, good food to him also means the price must be reasonable besides the food being nice and he is not all for the fine dining type of food.  His passion of food takes him to the hawkers' stalls, food court, coffee shops and restaurants around Ipoh and outskirts as well.

On this day, he "guided" us to a small town outside Ipoh called Kanthan.  It is a very small town, half an hour away from Ipoh and he likes to go there the varieties of food which mainly comes from the Hakka clan.

Our stop for lunch at these two shops....
An Ji sells a selection of dumplings made from this shop itself....
We bought a couple of this and that to take home....
Then we walked to the shop next door to have our lunch...
Eggplant with shrimps in sambal sauce...
Fried mantis ....
And steamed stingray with salted black beans....
I love this dish cooked this way instead of the normal grilled or curry sauce....
The bill came to around RM80 plus with drinks and rice for four persons...
