New Year Eve 2016 In Penang

STARTED OUR JOURNEY UP NORTH AROUND 9.30AM, reaching Penang Island around 11.30am, just nice to have lunch.  Traffic was quite smooth though drizzling most of the way, nevertheless the weather didn't dampen our spirits especially for my girl.  She loves Penang more after spending eight months of internship working in Bayan Lepas.  Since it was New Year Eve, hotels were a bit more pricey than normal days but then, this is the first time we are spending our New Year Eve here, so it does not matter... so much... LOL...

Upon reaching, we went to Cecil Street Market for our favourite Koay Teow Th'ng fix.  After our lunch we checked in and wasting no time, we made our way to Queensbay, her favourite spot for Shopping ... er.. window shopping.  From Queensbay, we proceeded to Gurney... see how "active" we are when it comes to shopping?  LOL... But then we did not spend much, just feasting our eyes on the shopping deco and the red dresses in almost every shop outlets.
Traffic was pretty smooth going in to Penang unlike the other side...
Our favourite stall at Cecil Market...
Duck meat in Koay Teow soup...
Pasembur is not to be missed out ...
Couldn't resist this either.. the sticky rice was very soft and nice...
Checking in to Royal Hotel after our lunch...
Scenery from the 18th Floor...
Greetings from the hotel lobby...
Wasting no time, we adjourned to Queensbay....
The "Cockerels" are ready!
Let's go... Window Shopping!
Oh oh... We could not resist the Baskin Robbins 31% offer!
Good excuse to rest our tired legs!
