Here are some of my favorite things to see and do in Ubud:

Stroll Around Ubud

The first thing you need to do is to stroll around Ubud, explore its unique streets, and learn more about its traditions, culture, and interesting architecture.

By walking its street you’ll spot places that are not usually on the main path, and come up with hidden gems yourself. Head to Museum Puri Lukisan and enjoy a nice collection of Balinese art, you can visit the Pura Taman Kemuda Saraswati, a Hindu temple with interesting architecture and carvings.

The unique landscape crafted by the local farmers over generations of ancient practices makes Ubud a special place to visit.

Ubud Rice Terraces

The rice terraces are a sight to be held, an enchanting landscape, and a beautiful testament to the hard work and passion of the Balinese farmers.

Learn how this practice has been forged into the culture since ancient times. the terraces have been crafted skillfully over generations, which resulted in this landscape. Make sure to bring a camera, it’s a world-class Instagram-able place.

Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary

Next, you can head to the Monkey Forest and stroll around hand in hand with your loved one, while checking out the interesting carvings on the stone. Follow the stairs and you’ll reach a fantastic building temple, be prepared since you’ll spot a few monkeys on your way.

The forest is unique and enchanting, like it’s a prop from a movie, the branches are tangled up and the stones are covered in moss giving it a romantic feel to it.
