More information about Hcg Diet Foods can be found here.

What Is the HCG Diet?

A type of diet focused on weight loss, it’s the combination of several injections of human chorionic gonadotropin and calorie restrictions. Some HCG diets are set to only allow 500 calories per day.

The human chorionic gonadotropin is a hormone that’s usually released on the body in large amounts during pregnancy. It’s extracted from the urine of pregnant women. Having been used for weight loss since 1954, a study made by Dr. Albert T. Simeons stated that the HCG diet caused the fat burn, especially on the stomach, hips, and thighs.

Also, he stated that many people following the HCG diet plan would lose 20 to 30 pounds without feeling hungry or weak.

HCG injections provide pure fat loss while preventing muscle loss, which results in making people leaner with a robust metabolism that will help you to maintain weight loss after you finish the diet.

What Do You Eat During the HCG Diet?

Since most of those diets limit the calories to 500 per day, you’ll be cutting a lot of your meal sizes. You’ll be doing two meals, lunch and dinner every day, and you must eat vegetables, fruit, drinks, and protein.

You’ll have a list of the hcg diet foods you can eat, each food is measured to check the amount of sugar, carbohydrates, protein, and sugar it can have.

How to Choose Foods for an HCG Diet

The point of an HCG Diet besides the injections is reducing calories and limiting fats too. Common HCG diet provides a list of foods you can eat, where you can find a small selection of fruits, nonstarchy vegetables, and lean meat.

There are many other options, the HCG diet foods are basically separated into protein, vegetables, fruits, and drinks. So you can choose foods that follow the diet plan, and stick to the plan.

  • Protein: buffalo, lean beef, chicken breast, cottage cheese, approved protein shakes, tofu, lobster, white fish, crab, and shrimp
  • Vegetables: tomatoes, spinach, onions, cucumber, celery, broccoli, cauliflower, radish, and asparagus.
  • Fruits: strawberries, oranges, grapefruit, apples, lemon, and raspberries.
  • Drinks: it is highly recommended that you drink a lot of water. You’re allowed to drink coffee and tea without sugar, cream, and milk.

The list gives you an idea of what can you eat or not. You must avoid fats at any cost, fatty foods aren’t healthy at all and also, you must avoid sugar, including cokes, sweets, and anything that has added sugar. A good example of vegetables to avoid is potatoes.
