My Top 5 Skincare Essentials for Traveling

Travel Experta, Expat Mama, Educator and Entrepreneur - Inspiring Families to New Horizons

One of the things you will notice after only a couple of trips is how much your skin can suffer. Anytime you go to a new city with a different altitude and humidity your skin will struggle to adapt. Every time you go on a plane, it will feel dehydrated.

It is like expecting your skin to adapt to seasonal changes every couple of days. It is almost impossible. So you will probably end up with extremely oily skin, extremely dry or even with that horrible combination of oily with dry.

All of this makes skin care one of the first t5hings I think of before traveling.

My Skincare Essentials for Traveling

1. Face Cleanser – Your skin has already been through enough with all of the climate changes and sunlight. So don’t wash it with any soap. Those are designed to be hard on the rest of your body. Instead, use a gentle cleanser for your face.

2. Anti Aging Moisturizer – Having a good cream or moisturizer is essential. Remember, wrinkles are prevented not cured, so you have to nourish your face properly before you get them. Take a look at the SkinPro Official Website for a good option.

I like applying it at night after I take off all of the dirt that accumulated in my face all day long.

3. Lipbalm – There are few things more annoying than not being able to speak without your lips bleeding. So get a good lip balm with sunscreen an keep applying it throughout the day.

4. Sunscreen – Applying it right before you go out is a given. Bu most travelers tend to leave it at the hotel. I like to throw it in my backpack to keep re-applying it every couple of hours. That way my face doesn’t get so affected by sunlight.

5. Oil blotting sheets – If you like being outdoors and doing a lot of exploring, you will be sweating a lot. And if you are going to keep applying sunscreen you might as well have something to pick up the dirt and oil before you do. That way it works better.
