• The Henley Regatta
The Henley Royal Regatta will be held from the 28th of June to the 2nd of July, and it’s certainly one event worth attending. If you’re a fan of UK history and culture, then the Regatta is something that will amaze you to no end. Crews from different parts of the world participate and try to beat other teams across the one-mile course on the River Thames. Along with the race, you’ll come across traditional English grub, champagne, and the ubiquitous afternoon tea.

• The Royal Ascot races
Another sporting event you wouldn’t want to miss in London this summer is the Royal Ascot Races, and, as its name implies, it is definitely where you can see royalty. Queen Elizabeth along with Prince Phillip and other royals are certain to make an appearance, and Royal Ascot horse racing is an event that offers plenty of thrills and excitement, especially with this year’s favorite (and last year’s winner) Order of St. George competing once again for the coveted Gold Cup. But there’s more to the Royal Ascot than horse racing – you can experience traditional England at its finest, with fine dining, even more bubbly, and live music coupled with a lively atmosphere.

• The British Summer Festival
Summer time, and the living is easy. This is very evident at the British Summertime Festival, which will be held at the famous Hyde Park from the 30th of June to the 9th of July (on the weekends). This festival always draws a huge crowd, and it is said to be the biggest musical celebration in the city. It has featured some amazing musical artists in the past, from Carole King to Stevie Wonder and from Taylor Swift to Black Sabbath. For this year’s festival, the line-up is varied and impressive as well, with musicians such as Phil Collins, Green Day, Kings of Leon, and Justin Bieber in the mix.

• The Carnival at Notting Hill
From the 27th of August to the 28th of August, experience some unique thrills at the Carnival at Notting Hill, which is the ultimate celebration of Caribbean culture, people, and traditions in London. The Carnival features live music (an eclectic mix of salsa, reggae, and more), as well as float parades and lots and lots of fried plantains and jerk chicken.
