The Majestic Clare Valley

A great place to get away for the weekend break or possibly a week is definitely the beautiful Clare Valley in South Australia. Famous for it’s wine makers and great deal of delightful wines, the region is host to many things that you can do. The region is a small 90 minute drive from Adelaide, making it a great spot for a weekend vacation as a couple or as a family unit.
During the past weekend we were lucky enough to have stayed at the fantastic Clare Country Club, which has been an absolute pleasure to stay in. The Clare Country Club has all the amenities that you need for the weekend away, such as a attractive dining establishment and bar, with billiard table. The country club overlooks the lake and the Clare Golf Course, which has lovely maintained grounds. Taking a swim in the pool and spa also was a pleasure, and allowed us to get some much needed unwinding time. Other facilities that were available included a sauna, tennis courts and a gym for the health conscious. It is definitely a excellent Clare Valley Resort that will be experienced.

One of many fantastic things in the Clare Valley region is thewonderful Riesling Trail. The 27 Kilometre Trail spans down the old railway line, and permits people to walk or ride down the trail without traffic issues, and with easy accessibility to a lot of wineries. The wineries as you go along also have water to drink and that is always refreshing when you need a rest. A lot of the wineries also have lunch facilities too, or snacks at the cellar door. A number of the wineries in the region have a lot of history linked to them, and sometimes just wandering around their grounds will amazeyou.

Sevenhill cellars

is popular amongst many people with and draws in over 30,000 people visiting each year. The grounds are very massive and include a crypt, and a walking trail, which show a history of the cellars. You can also venture into the underground cellars, and take some photographs. Quite an remarkable experience.
