Disney Resort Spotlight: Disney’s BoardWalk Inn

Disney’s Boardwalk Inn is a deluxe resort at Walt Disney World, and is themed like an Atlantic-style boardwalk. It’s located on the shore of Crescent Lake in between Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

The theme at BoardWalk Inn is a lot of fun, with nods to Atlantic City and Coney Island in its carnival-inspired décor. One of my favorite things about this resort is the actual boardwalk that guests can stroll along. At night it comes alive with lights, neon, carnival games, and street performers.

Guests at the resort can enjoy relaxing at the Luna Park Pool with a water slide. I’ll be honest that the oversized clown on the water slide isn’t my favorite feature, though it does fit in with the carnival theme. The resort also has two leisure pools for guests to enjoy.

Most rooms at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn can sleep up to 5 guests with 2 queen beds and 1 day bed, and guests can select either standard view or a view of the water. Standard rooms come with a coffee maker and mini-fridge.

Guests at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn have a number of dining options. For upscale dining, Flying Fish offers sophisticated, seasonal seafood dishes and steak. The Big River Grille & Brewing Works offers delicious twists on traditional pub food as well as a selection of beers from their microbrewery. For something more casual, guests can enjoy contemporary Italian food at Trattoria al Forno or catch up on their favorite sport at ESPN Club. For breakfast, Trattoria al Forno also offers the Bon Voyage character dining experience, featuring Rapunzel, Flynn Rider, Ariel, and Eric. If you need to grab something to go, there’s also the BoardWalk Bakery serving sandwiches and pastries.

Disney’s BoardWalk Inn offers bus service to Disney Springs, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and Magic Kingdom. The resort is within walking distance of Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios, but also has boats that can take guests to these two parks, as well. The resort is also within walking distance of Disney’s Beach Club & Yacht Club resorts on the other side of Crescent Lake.
