Rabbit Blanket Campground, Lake Superior Provincial Park, Algoma, Ontario, Canada

One of two front country campgrounds in Lake Superior Provincial Park, Rabbit Blanket Campground is the smaller of the two. Located conveniently off the Trans Canadian Highway, you will arrive at camp via a scenic, forested, easy drive over rivers and past lakes. Rabbit Blanket Lake ia one of thousands in the region, and it is a pretty place to rest tour head for a night or two. The campground has a mix of electrical and dry sites. Electrical posts, as in many Ontario Provincial Parks are shared between sites and might require an extension cord to access. Sites here are very wooded and private. Most site pads are flat and sites have tue standard fire pit and table. Firewood is for sale at the park. Many sites sit alongside the lake and offer easy access and great views. These are the sites you want to strive for. We especially loved the view and setup of site 5, and noticed site 3's pad was fairly sloped, which might cause you some trouble when leveling. Restrooms are available, but not much else at this quiet campground. A small beach is accessible at both loops. During our stay, the park was surprisingly full, so reservations are strongly encouraged.

Best Sites: 1, 5, 7, 9, 11, 14, 16, 31, 33, 35, 37, 39

Poor Sites: 30

Hookups: Electric

Dump Within Facility: Yes
