Blue Gate

A Walk in Stoke Newington is an exhibition of new oil paintings by Marie Lenclos opening on Monday 6th November. Marie walked for days exploring the streets, enjoying the shortcuts and alleyways, strolling along terraced streets, and observing the way light fell on buildings and walls. The resultant paintings comprise a personal and intimate reflection on Stoke Newington, focusing on the stillness and tranquility of the place. Marie takes delight in colour and form, and the play of light at certain times of the day.

A Walk in Stoke Newington is at Everyday Sunshine Shop, 49 Barbauld Rd, N16 0RT, from 6th to 26th November, Thursday to Sunday, 10am to 4pm, for the duration of the show.
