Places To Visit in Andaman For Honeymoon

I hope this article is found by Honeymooners who are visiting the Andaman Islands and are shortlisting the places to visit during their honeymoon in the Andaman Islands.

When we think of the Andaman Islands as a whole there are many places that one can visit. Now, the art is to cut the fluff that may not be liked by honeymooners.

Now, as I have done in the past, I hope this article will do justice and will guide honeymooners to shortlist the place to visit in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Before starting this article I had gone through the already published articles in various websites but found many things missed in the article.

The reason why this could have to happen is that many content writers are not aware of the ground reality of Andaman and are mainly copying or modifying content from various other sites. The first-hand experience of Andaman makes a lot of difference while writing an article about any niche and especially when it comes to shortlisting places to visit in Andaman for a romantic Honeymoon.

When I speak to honeymooners on a visit to the Andaman Islands, they want to rush straight to Havelock Island and don’t what to experience any other locations such as Port Blair, Neil, Baratang and Diglipur.

The main reason could be that people mainly write and market about Havelock Island, and other attractions in the Andaman archipelago are altogether missed.

It is better you know all the destinations properly before confirming on the tour itinerary.

So here we begin with the best places to visit during honeymoon in the Andaman Islands. To start with, it is better to know the interest of both the couples to make the best of your time in Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

In Port Blair, I will recommend you a visit to Chidiatapu to Enjoy the mesmerizing sunset. This is a very good place to start your experience after you arrive in the capital city Port Blair, on the first day of your trip.

In addition, take left side seating in your flight during your onward journey to Port Blair. This way you get a chance to experience bird eye view of the islands just before you land at the Veer Savarkar Airport at Port Blair and I bet you that the view will just set the base for the journey in Andaman during your honeymoon.

Isn’t the view from the flight just amazing? I said you, you will love it!

For those honeymoon couples who are more inclined towards experiencing something historic, then Cellular Jail should be on your itinerary. Specifically, the light and sound show at Cellular Jail. Cellular Jail is among the most visited destination in Andaman. When in Port Blair, you can take a guide with you during your Cellular Jail Visit.

For Cellular Jail Visit, Get your tickets booked in advance so that you don’t miss out on visiting Cellular Jail. Usually, there is big queue to get the tickets.

Now, in Port Blair other places that honeymooners can visit is North Bay and Ross Island. The reason to add Ross and North Bay Island is that many of the activities that are not present in any of the other islands in Andaman are present during your trip to Ross and North Bay Island.

Various Kinds of boat goes to Ross and North Bay Island and you can take any of the boats during your trip to Ross and North based on your comfort.

When you visit North Bay Island you get a chance to experience Semi Submarine Coral Safari, Andaman Dolphin Glass boat Ride, Scuba Diving and Sea Walking. Now, both Semi-Submarine and Andaman Dolphin Glass boat rides are not available in any of the other islands. These two activities are very unique and kind of a must-do activity in Andaman.

So for the initial couple of days, a honeymoon couple can visit,
Day 1 – Chidiatapu along with Cellular Jail Light and Sound Show
Day 2 – Ross and North Bay Island along with any of the water activities as mentioned above.

Now, in Port Blair you can also visit Baratang Island and Jolly Bouy Island,  these two places are a gem of an attraction that should not be missed. However, considering Honeymoon and the number of days you are planning a visit to Andaman, I will let go these attractions for now. Do write to me in case you wish to add Jolly Bouy and Baratang.

At this point in my article, I will end the places to visit in Port Blair for honeymooners before moving to Havelock and Neil Island. There is one final thing that you can consider in the evening is the dinner cruise in Andaman by TSG Bella Bay.  You can cruise around the Port Blair while enjoying your dinner.

Well, now let’s move to Havelock and Neil Island. Here I would like to share some insight for a honeymoon couple. I will recommend not to keep your honeymoon for a very short duration. See if you can extend to at least 6 Days. There is a reason why I am insisting on a 6 days Andaman honeymoon package is because you get a chance to experience all the major islands, Port Blair, Havelock and Neil Island.

However, in case you are visiting Andaman for 5 Days only then my recommendation is to drop your plan for Neil Island because the trip can be too hectic and the chances are that you will be check-in and out every day and the essence of a comfort trip will get missed.

So the fundamental remains clear that for a short trip to Andaman, skip Neil Island and any time you are extending your trip to over 5 days, Neil Island can be considered.

Neil Island is one of the most beautiful places in the Andaman, and honeymooners will surely enjoy there time here. A night stay at Neil Island island is enough, however, for those looking for more leisure time can stay for 2 Nights in Neil Island. Here is an Andaman package with Neil Island

What’s Next?

Now, I suppose you might we wondering that so many places for a honeymoon couple has been covered is there anything else left? Honestly, this is just the tip of the iceberg. If you get time to go through our things to do article you will be amazed to know the various things that Andaman caters to travelers.

Andaman has some many places that it will need at least 15 days to cover everything. But I will leave this topic for a later article and will currently concentrate only on the lovely honeymoon couples.

Let’s begin Havelock island Now, the most preferred destination where everyone wants to visit in the islands and rightly so the honeymooners as well.

Whenever I meet people many say that “Andaman mein to Havelock mein hi Sab Kuch Hai”. Well, as described above I feel this statement is wrong and shows the limitation in the knowledge of the traveler who is visiting Andaman.  Apparently, things that can be done in Port Blair is much greater than Havelock and Neil Island combined.

Post by Experience Andamans.

However, there is a reason why Havelock leads in terms of the best island in the Andaman. It’s mainly because of the experience of the turquoise colored water that is so close to you that you might have never experienced. The different shades of blue hold true when it is Havelock Island. The beach resorts are very close to the beach and getting a similar experience elsewhere in India is difficult. For those who have never had a first-hand experience of such amazing beaches and waters will surely be spellbound to experience something like Havelock Island.

Rightly so for our honeymoon couple on a visit to Andaman. For them, Havelock is a heaven and as I said earlier, “Havelock Should never be missed”.

So what can you do when on a visit to a place such as Havelock Island on a Honeymoon?

To start with, I will say just feel it. The air, the crowd, and the whole atmosphere will feel different here. The three major attractions here are

  1. Radhanagar Beach
  2. Elephant Beach
  3. Kalapathar Beach

These places can be covered in 2 days easily.

In addition, to this, I recommend honeymooners to indulge in Scuba Diving and Sea Walking. Make sure you get an experience of both of these activities.

You also have Kayaking that can be done in Havelock Island.

In both, Havelock and Neil Island you can cover all the places in a couple of days. The rest of the days in these islands can be at leisure. In Havelock Island, you can do Candle Lit Dinner by the beach side as well. Dining by the beach is an altogether different experience. And, I bet the food is Havelock Island is very good and you have various options for both Vegetarian and Non-Vegetarian. Our Honeymoon Packages to Andaman contains only the places that are loved by honeymoon couples including Candle Lit Dinner, Decorated bed and Cruise rides to reach various islands such as Port Blair, Havelock and Neil

For Havelock Island you can consider the following places in this order

Day 1 – Port Blair to Havelock Island Or Neil To Havelock Island along with Radhanagar Beach
Day 2 – Elephant Beach Snorkeling or Trekking Trip along with Sea Walking
Day 3 – Scuba Diving at Havelock Island and Return to Port Blair or Night stay at Havelock Island itself
Day 4 – Day at Leisure and Return to Port Blair

Beach Front Setup For Dinner

Though the above-mentioned places may vary based upon the interest of the couples. Add Candle Lit Dinner and Decorated bed as well to the list.

To give one specific order to the places to visit in Andaman Island by a Honeymoon Couple is difficult as for the most part it depends upon the interest of the couples. Having said that, Port Blair, Havelock and Neil Islands should not be missed. I have still not covered North Andaman, Middle Andaman and few offbeat places as it solely depends upon the interest.

What I have mentioned in this article should be experienced and I bet you will love your time in the Andamans. Share you thoughts and let me know if you want me to cover any other places in Andaman for a couple.
