FAQ`s – Luxury Boat Hire Sydney Harbour

The post FAQ`s – Luxury Boat Hire Sydney Harbour appeared first on Water Limousines Sydney.

Where do your luxury vessels depart from?

We typically depart from King Street Wharf, off Lime Street Sydney, as it’s protected from the wind and waves and is safe for boarding and disembarking of passengers. We also pick up from most public wharves on Sydney Harbour, Darling Harbour and Circular Quay. If you have a specific pick-up location in mind please let us know.

Where do you normally cruise to?

It depends on what length of time your luxury yacht charter is, and which direction the breeze is blowing, sea and swell conditions. The Captain on the day will decide the best places to see. You will normally cruise by Darling Harbour,  Sydney`s Cockle Bay, Harbour Bridge, Opera House, Eastern suburbs and North Shore suburbs. We also anchor up at some of the most pristine beaches on Sydney Harbour, which offers pristine clear water for swimming and white sandy beaches during daylight charters only.

How do I get to King Street Wharf, Sydney?

King Steet Wharf is only a 5-minute drive or a 15-minute walk from the centre of Sydney CBD and is easily accessible by either walking, car or light train. Alternatively, we can organise a charter bus or limousine for your group.

What happens if we have bad weather | rain | storm on our scheduled cruising date?

In the event of extremely bad weather, we will re-schedule to another date which suits both parties, it’s important for us to give you the best possible experience so you’ll join us for future luxury cruises. Generally, we operate 99.9% of the time, as all three yachts are large Superyachts and are capable of handling all conditions on Sydney Harbour.

Am I likely to get seasick while cruising?

Our Vessels are large Superyachts and range in size from 62 – 90-foot which boasts great stability on the water. Some of our yachts also have stabilizers for extra stability on the water, however, these stabilizers are mainly used in open sea and not required for sheltered waters like Sydney Harbour. If you would prefer to take precautions, there are plenty of seasickness remedies available from your local Pharmacy.

Can I Swim whilst on a charter?

Swimming is permitted on daytime charters only. Guests are advised to bring there own beach towels. Please advise us prior to your charter, so that the Captain and crew are aware of your planned activity. We will also include any swimming activity in your charter itinerary for our crew reference.

What time does the luxury boat arrive at the wharf for departures?

The boat will arrive at the wharf just before boarding time. So if you are booked in at 12:00 pm please be at the wharf no later than 11:45 am. Our luxury yachts are only permitted by NSW Maritime a 15-minute window to pick you and guests up, our vessels cannot wait for late passengers. Please ensure all passengers are at your allocated wharf 15 to 30 minutes prior to your departure time.

Can we bring our own food and drinks BYO both?

Luxury vessels menus are available and all superyachts have fully licenced bars onboard. Please contact us about your charter preferences and we will give you your options for your charter. BYO food and drinks are available on application only, and fees are applicable per person for this convenience. Some summer months and weekends no BYO is available on any vessel.

Do you have fridges for BYO drinks?

Yes, all vessels have large fridges and we can also supply ice. Our fridges are available for your drink/food storage only.

Can we bring glass bottles?

We encourage cans rather than glass where possible as it reduces the chance of broken glass onboard.

Is there hot and cold drinking water onboard?

Yes, we have plenty of fresh water on board suitable for drinking, showering and making tea & coffee.

Is the kitchen equipped with plates, cutlery, champagne flutes?

Yes, the kitchen is fully equipped with everything you’ll need. The galley (kitchen) has cutlery, cookery, wine glasses, champagne flutes, serving dishes etc. There is an oven on board however due to WHS guidelines there needs to be a Water Limousines galley manager or chef on board @ $340 to supervise/cook for you and your guests.

Are children allowed? What about lifejackets?

Yes, all luxury vessels are family friendly. All ages are welcome. For children aged 2-4, we suggest you bring something to entertain them whilst on the cruise. All vessels have lifejackets on board for adults and the kids as well. This is an AMSA Government requirement for all commercial vessels in Australia.

Do your Luxury boats come with a Captain and Deckhands?

All our luxury vessels come with a fully uniformed crew and are skippered by licenced AMSA (Australian Maritime Safety Authority) Captains and Deckhands.

Do you have a sound system to play iPods?

Yes, we have entertainment systems onboard iPhone/iPod/Ipad via USB.  AM/FM radio and CD/DVD player are also available.
